Course Outline

In the Mechanical Engineering Course we support creating a more convenient and enriched lifestyle, and conduct education and research regarding mechanical engineering to protect the natural environment. Students acquire the quality of an engineer through studying not only Mechanism, but also the fundamental academic areas of Mechanics and Strength of Materials, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Mechanical Dynamics and Control Engineering, in addition to engineerings in Aerospace system, Medical system and Environmentally friendly system.

Course Features

In recent years, along with the fast-paced progression of scientific technology, we are facing various social issues such as global warming due to carbon dioxide emissions, and pollution of the environment due to nuclear accidents. So we need to develop renewable energy sources such as wind and geothermal power. Also with the declining birthrate and aging population, the improvement of medical welfare technology has become an urgent issue, and the role of mechanical engineering is becoming larger in order to create new industries and promote employment. In the education of this course, we conduct the fundamental academics of mechanical engineering, and cultivate mechanical engineers who can contribute to the vast industrial arena with cooperativeness, independence and problem-solving abilities. Furthermore, we recommend utilizing the fundamentals learned as an undergraduate, and continuing on to graduate school where students can acquire further knowledge and experience through engagement in leading edge research. Through a continuous 6-year education, we are cultivating human resources who can create new mechanical engineering fields.

Goal of human resource cultivation

Our goal to faster R&D / Engineers who have both fundamental knowledge in specialised fields and skills to integrate cross-disciplinary ideas to contribute in solving local and international problems via education and research on Aerospace system, Medical System Engineering and Environmentally Compatible System that will be necessary in the future.
